Ad Council Campaign

Process & Problem Statement

The process of this campaign began with choosing an archetype, creating personas, and researching to create a brand that could communicate the blue law. The archetype I chose was the Innocent. The South Carolina Blue law ‘In Fountain Inn, SC, horses are to wear pants at all. times’ was a law that could go different ways when communicating it through this campaign. Using the innocent archetype I chose, I began going in the direction of 1960s paper dolls, pastel colors, vintage horse races, and created a ‘pony’ vibe rather than a horse. This began the overall design of my campaign.

After creating visual designs, I turned those into environmental designs as well as a functional single scroll mobile and desktop website design.

The campaign I created was based on the South Carolina Blue Law that states, “In Fountain Inn, South Carolina, horses are to wear pants at all times.” Using an ‘innocent’ archetype and creating a campaign that engages the viewer to learn more about this law, I was able to take these designs and create environmental assets as well as an interactive mobile & desktop website.
